Digital Compass ("the App", "we", "us") is developed and maintained by Sarvesh Lakhera. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices. The App is designed to work fully offline, and this policy reflects that: we do not operate any server, and we do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data to ourselves or any third party.

Location data is processed only on your device, is used only to render these features in real time, and is never transmitted anywhere. If you deny location permission, the App continues to work as a magnetic compass and bubble level, and the location-dependent features are simply unavailable.
The App reads the magnetometer, accelerometer, and (if present) gyroscope to compute compass heading, tilt, and slope. Sensor readings are processed in memory only, are never stored or transmitted, and are discarded immediately after each reading is used to update the display.
If you save a waypoint, its name and coordinates are stored only in the App's private local storage on your device. This data never leaves your device, is never sent to us or anyone else, and is permanently deleted when you delete the waypoint in-app or uninstall the App.
The one-time "Compass Pro" unlock is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive, see, or store your payment details — only a local flag on your device indicating whether Pro features are unlocked. Your purchase and payment information is handled under Google Play's own Privacy Policy.
The App does not collect or transmit: your name, email address, contacts, photos, files, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or any analytics/usage/crash data. There are no ads and no third-party analytics SDKs embedded in the App.
We do not share any data, because we do not collect any data on our end. The only third party involved at all is Google Play Billing, solely to process optional in-app purchases, governed by Google's own privacy policy linked above.
All data created by the App (waypoints, premium-unlock flag) lives in the App's private app-storage on your device. You can delete it at any time by:
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, since no personal information is collected at all.
Since no data leaves your device, the primary protection is Android's app-sandboxing, which keeps the App's local storage private to the App and inaccessible to other apps without root access.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised and the updated policy will be published at the same location. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
